Profile
I am Celine Russo, born on March 22, 2000. I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Bologna and a Master's Degree in Sustainable Innovation in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Pisa/University of Florence with an experimental thesis concerning the analysis of the spraying of a drone spray for the execution of phytosanitary defense operations in heroic viticulture. After my master's degree I worked at DAGRI first with a research fellowship and subsequently as a research fellow in the agricultural mechanics section.
Research interests and PhD project
My research interests concern new technologies for Precision Agriculture. My doctorate focuses on the development of new techniques and technologies for the defense of typical Mediterranean productions, focusing first on the characterization of the target through fast and non-destructive technologies and subsequently on the development of solutions and devices for the precision and variable rate spraying of the plant protection products, distributed with conventional machinery and also by drone. The objective is to achieve greater environmental, social and economic sustainability of the phytosanitary management of tree crops.
