I’m Livia Passarino. I graduated at the University of Florence where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest and Environmental Sciences in 2021, discussing a thesis about natural regeneration of forest species in forest stands damaged by wind storms and a Master’s Degree in Sciences and Technologies of Forestry Systems (110/110 cum laude) in 2023, with a thesis entitled “Automatic characterization of forest disturbances in Italy using remote sensing Sentinel-2 data”. Currently I’m a PhD student in Sustainable Management of Agricultural, Forestry, and Food Resources.
My research interests focus on the applications of remote sensing technologies and spatial data for monitoring forest ecosystems to support sustainable forest management, with particular attention to forest disturbances.
