Profile

I am Simona Iacobelli, I was born on 14/11/1981 in Fucecchio (FI). I graduated at the University of Florence where I obtained a Master's degree in Management of Forestry Systems. Currently I am PhD student at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Systems (GESAAF) of University of Florence.

Research interests and PhD project

The research interests are inherent to: planning of hiking/cultural paths aimed to the enhancement of marginal rural areas; development of analysis applied to sustainable tourism.
Spatial distributions analysis of wildlife through Geographic Information System (GIS).
PhD project concerns the spatial distributions analysis of the wolf (Canis lupus L.) in Pistoia territory and compatibility relationships with human activities, through the development of suitability maps.
