Profile

Lucas Allan Almeida Oliveira received his bachelor degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) in 2013. After the bachelor he got his master of Science in Agricultural Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Brazil). In 2016 he started his PhD also in Agricultural Engineering at the Federal University of Viçosa (Brazil) and it is foreseen to finish it on 2020. Nowadays he is a visiting PhD student at the University of Florence (Italy) where he is going to be until 2019 august

Research interests and PhD project

His main research line is the estimation of soil moisture using indirect methods, he has worked with different types of electronic probes and now he is working with the use of satellite images to estimate the soil moisture.
