Profile

Graduated in Forestry Sciences in Florence in 1997, I completed my education with the Master in Geomatics and Natural Resources Evaluation at IAO in Florence. After having worked for FAO in Kenya, I had new collaborations with IAO in the training sector, GIS expert in Algeria and project coordinator in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Starting from 2011 I acted as rural development expert in Afghanistan for AICS. I carried out also consultations as GIS expert for projects in Asia and Africa, taught in University Masters and over e-learning platforms. Currently I held a research grant in IFAC-CNR

Research interests and PhD project

I am deeply interested in Remote Sensing and GIS applications to natural resources evaluation and rural development taking into consideration both optical and microwave sensors. My PhD project has being focused on Optical and Microwave remote sensing applications in agroforestry in Tunisian test sites
