The PhD Program in Sustainable Management of Agricultural Food and Forestry Resources collaborates with some of the most important Universities and Research Institutes worldwide dealing with Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science.

PhD candidates can enroll for an international cotutoring PhD thesis (co-tutela). The PhD Program also promotes the Doctor Europeus degree.

 

Ongoing collaborations

In 2022/2025 the GeSoRAFA Doctorate has activated a doctorate with the Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) in "Health Promotion and Prevention of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs)" with the Joint Research Centre-European Commission (JRC) on the theme the development of products and strategies to promote healthy and sustainable eating behaviors

In the academic year 2018/2022 a PhD position will be funded by the European Union through Horizon 2020 within the program Marie Sklodowska-Curie ITN-ETN Innovative and European Training Networks (n. 764985), project EDULIA - Bringing Down Barriers to Children's Healthy Eating (http://edulia.eu/). The EDULIA ITN partnership takes the form of collaborative European Training Networks (ETN). EDULIA comprises seven beneficiaries: four universities (University of Florence, Wageningen University, MAPP-Aarhus University, Universidad de la República) and three research institutes (Nofima; INRA Dijon; Institut Paul Bocuse Research Centre). The beneficiaries will liaise with local non-academic partners from different sectors: industry (Tine, Arla, Elior, Sammontana and Diana), applied research (Food & Biobased Research-WUR-FBR), marketing (Kidverising), and the public sector (Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Netherlands Nutrition Centre Foundation-NC, National Food Institute of Uruguay-INDA).
